oh cmon, …he’s not even 23yrs old… hasn’t had that many professional fights…. has JUST won his first world title.. ofcourse ur gonna start with mandatories and other challengers b4 u try to unify the bloody belts taking on the likes of maidana & bradley. Not long ago he was only a prospect.. even now, he’s still only a BLOSSOMING prospect… not a fully developed fighter.

He’ll fight the Maidanas, Bradleys & co. of this world in time.

In fact he may face Marquez in his next 3 fights!

but

1. there was no practical time for him to fight another opponent (because of Kotelnik already delaying the mandatory time frame to fight Khan…when he should have gone against Salita)

2. If you remember the press at the time of the 1st Pacquiao – Barrera fight…they said the same thing
